H2S Odor Control

(Vertaal naar Nederlands)
Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S) is a toxic and flammable gas that has a smell of rotten egs.
It's smell treshold is extremely low: 0.0005 PPM.
Multiple Scrubber Stages
When H2S has to be removed from a gas stream to levels below the smell treshold, often a multiple stage scrubber system is needed.
A first stage, using cheap chemicals, absorbs and transforms most of the H2S.
To remove all lasting traces of H2S, much more powerful (and expensive) chemicals can be used in the next stages.
Efficiency
Thanks to this method no more smell is released into the environment.
Absence of H2S at the outgoing gas stream is confirmed, when requested, by simple measurements with detection tubes or by chromatographic analyses.
