Large second stage packed tower scrubber in polyethylene, installed in a speciality gases plant in Belgium. The scrubber abates corrosive gases like HCl, HBr and Ammonia (NH3). The column has a diameter of 2,3 meter and a height of 6,5 meter. In the column: liquid distributor, structured packing (much more efficient than a random packing) and the demister.
